Spotlight Teacher: Ms. Beers
Name:  Lisa Beers
School:  Round Hill
Grade:  Second Grade 
Q:  How long have you been a teacher? Have you taught elsewhere (besides WCSD)? 
A:  I have been teaching at Round Hill for 19 years.
Q:  What is something you enjoy doing (when you are not teaching)? 
 A:  My favorite things to do are spend time with my family, eat chocolate and swim.
Q:  This year, what is something you will be teaching that has always been fun or a topic that your class has always enjoyed in the past?
A:  I love to teach matter!  We do many experiments and it is a highlight for them. 
Q:  How are you using technology in your classroom this year? 
A:  I use technology in a variety of ways.  We use the Smartboard and chromebooks.  I have created a Google classroom that has websites that my students go to, to practice their reading and math skills.  We are also learning how to create Google docs. 
Q:  Who is your role model and why?
A:  My parents are my role models.  My dad was a middle school band and orchestra teacher.  He showed me a love for education and working with children.  My mother is my role model because she instilled in me independence and strength. 
Q:  Anything else you would like your students to know about you?
A:  I am happy to be working with Mrs. Reid this year!
