Art After School Program and Art Show

Let your student’s creativity flow with this after school art program. The PTA, in conjunction with an outside team, is excited to offer this opportunity to Round Hill’s budding artists. Classes will begin in September and run through November. These young artists will be able to showcase their work in our annual Art Show!


The PTA maintains and beautifies the outside of the school throughout the year by adding seasonal decorations.

Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair runs for a full week. Students have the opportunity to purchase quality books during the school day or with their parents during the evening sales. Volunteers are needed.

Box Tops

Count and prepare all box tops and promotional materials brought in by the students to be mailed out to a clearinghouse. Round Hill receives reimbursements for all box tops collected.

Bulletin Board

Announcements of events and PTA information are posted on a bulletin board inside the school.

Chocolate & Gift Wrap Fundraiser

Get an early start on your holiday shopping with our first fundraiser of the year. New company means new items to choose from. Your support of this fundraiser is greatly appreciated.

Bingo/Craft/Movie Family Nights

Fun filled nights for the whole family. This year we are pleased to offer a concession stand (volunteers needed) at our family nights. Yummy snacks at an affordable cost!

Cultural Events

Outside professional groups provide our children with educational and entertaining experiences. Events are scheduled during the school day throughout the year.

Family Fun Day

“Welcome Back to School” day of fun for the entire family and staff. Join us for games, entertainment, food and lots of fun for all. Volunteers needed.

Field Day

The most anticipated event of the year for the students! The Physical Education department coordinates this fun-filled day of games. The PTA sponsors a refreshment table as well as assists at various stations.

Our 5th Graders enjoy a day of fun at Rosmarins Camp. BBQ, swimming, handball and dancing to a DJ!

Holiday Boutique

All students will have an opportunity during school to shop for their family and friends. A variety of holiday gifts are offered. One family sale night will also be held.


Refreshments are provided at our PTA meetings. Volunteers are needed to provide baked items or store bought goods.


This committee provides lunch and t-shirts to our 5th graders who are mentored by Round Hill alumni on the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

International Night

Experience the culture and food from various countries around the world. A fun-filled evening for the entire family.

Mad Science After School Program

PTA provides an after school program with the Mad Science team. Students learn about science while having fun. This program runs for 8 weeks beginning in January.


This committee is responsible for membership cards, membership funds and volunteer lists for each committee.

Moving-up Day

Fifth grade students are recognized for their accomplishments at Round Hill. PTA provides refreshments for our 5th graders and their families.

PARP (Parents As Reading Partners)

A themed 2-week challenge to our students to read and exceed a set goal of minutes read. Event ends with a fun family night.

Plant Sale

Date set for the weekend of Mother’s Day – a way for the children to show appreciation toward a parent or caregiver with the purchase of a plant.


PTA provides a welcome gift to all our incoming Pre-Kers!

Public Relations

This committee provides the community with announcements, articles and pictures for press release. Also responsible for the management of the PTA website.

Red Ribbon Week

This is a national event that teaches the students about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Children are given red ribbons to wear to show their awareness of these dangers.

School Pictures

A professional photography studio provides individual and class pictures. Pictures will be taken in the Fall and the Spring. This is a PTA fundraiser.

Science Fair

No mad scientist’s here – just some fantastic, creative experiments and demonstrations by our children. Participants show off their efforts in a non-competitive evening. Children can participate or just join us to see what the world of science is about.

Spirit Wear

Show your school spirit by purchasing T-shirts and other items are available with our school colors and mascot.

Spring Basket Fundraiser

Come out for a night of fun and chance. Wonderful baskets up for raffle. This is a PTA fundraiser.

Square One Kids Art Fundraiser

Children have an opportunity to showcase their artistic ability with products ranging from note cards, mugs to mouse pads. All orders arrive just in time for Mother’s / Father’s Day.

Staff Appreciation

After a year of giving our children their best, we wish to express our appreciation to the entire staff. During this national event, we provide the staff with surprises throughout the week and a luncheon on the last day. We also provide a breakfast for the bus drivers. Volunteers are needed to donate food, set-up, clean up and monitor the lunchroom while the staff enjoy their lunch. This committee needs two volunteers co-chairing.

Student Gift

The PTA gives every student a gift at the end of the school year. The committee presents ideas for the gift to the PTA for a vote, places the order, and distributes the gifts to all the children.
