Washingtonville Central School District has completed comprehensive asbestos inspections and management plans for its School buildings. These reports are available for your inspection during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) at the Buildings & Grounds office in the Trailers behind the Bus Garage located at 52 West Maine Street. As a result of the
inspections performed asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) were
identified and their condition assessed. On an ongoing basis
surveillances and inspections are conducted periodically as required by Federal
and NYS regulations and any areas noted as being in poor condition have been
repaired, encapsulated, enclosed, or removed by properly certified asbestos
personnel with any required notifications provided in advance to the NYS
Department of Labor.
An ongoing operations and maintenance program which includes periodic surveillance and re-inspections has been implemented by Washingtonville Central School District and will remain in effect until all ACBM has been removed from our facilities.
