"G" DAY 





The Budget Vote is Tuesday, May 21st.  First we would like to remind any student 18 or over to vote.  We would also like to remind seniors that parking in the front lot will be very limited to allow for voters to have access to the school.  You may park at St. Mary’s on the perimeter.  You may not park at the First Presbyterian Church.  Also at lunch, we ask that you keep the hallways clear.  Please stay in cafeterias or outside.


Attention Wizards!  Join Masque & Mime for the Annual Cabaret Night!  Ticket price includes a 3 course meal and the talented members of the club performing hits from their favorite shows.  Reserve your seats now by seeing Ms. Denaro in Room 238.


Applications for the Science Honor Society are available in the main office.  Applications are due to Mrs. Massari and Mrs. Scott by May 21st.


Anyone interested in joining the Girls’ Varsity Swimming and Diving Team this Fall should attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 21st at 3:15 PM.  The meeting will be held in Room 225 of the high school with Mr. Wargo.


Blood Drive: The JROTC and the Middle School National Junior Honor Society, in conjunction with the New York Blood Center, is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Tuesday, May 21st from 8am to 7pm in the High School Library. Donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and not have donated blood within the last 54 days.  Donors must also have picture ID.  All High School students must have a parental consent form (available in the Main Office or from JROTC). For more information and to schedule an appointment you may visit The Bunker or call the High School JROTC at (845) 497-4041.  For general questions you may call the New York Blood Center at 1-800-933-BLOOD.  Just one pint of blood can save 5 people.  Thank you for your support.

Class of 2020 Prom Registration will be on the High School Website beginning Wednesday, May 15th.   Please download prom registration instructions for details.  Prom Guest Forms must be completed and approved by administration if your guest is not a WHS 11th grader.  See website for form.  For questions or concern, see Mrs. Evans, Rm 339 or Mr. Frisbee, Rm 127.  Registration and payments for Prom end on Thursday, May 23rd 


Washingtonville’s Evening Academy has a new set of elective courses for the 2019-2020 school year.  Students get to choose which ones will happen by voting.  You can find the survey and descriptions of the courses on the high school’s web page.  Be sure to check them out and vote before May 23rd.


Wizards Against Cancer Club will have our final meeting and end of the year party on Tuesday, May 24th in Room 213.  Bring something to share!


There is a mandatory meeting for all students attending the Senior Trip on Wednesday, May 29th at 2:30 in the auditorium.


Did you know a Medieval Trebucket can launch a 90 kg projectile over 300 meters?  Sign up for the Projectile Launcher Competition on Friday, May 31st after school in the gym.  Sign-up sheets can be found on the counter in the main office.  Go Ballistic!!


Weekly Regents Review sessions begin after the winter recess.  They will run January through May.  Details for the sessions can be found on the high school web page.  Sign up in the main office each week.


The United States Navy will have a table set up during lunches on Thursday, June 6th.  Please stop by and visit with them if you would like information about a career in the Navy.

Physicals will be available every Friday, for all sports, 9 and 11 the grade, and working papers.  Come in and see when your physical expires, and if you need a physical, sign up in the health office.
