Students of the Month for DECEMBER 2017
Each classroom teacher had the opportunity to chose a student from their class that goes above and beyond the expectations of behavior at school... This not only includes the classroom, but also includes the hallway, cafeteria, playground, other classrooms, and the bus. The expectations are to be safe, responsible, respectful, and to show self-control. If the children can exhibit these expectations at school, at home, and around the community, they will be successful members of society!
Each month, the chosen students are recognized in front of all their grade level peers during lunch and they get a seat coupon that allows them to sit wherever they want in the cafeteria for 5 days. Their parents are mailed a letter from Mrs. Williams, the Assistant Principal. Their classroom teacher creates an acrostic poem of their name, which gets displayed in the main hallway for the month along with their photo. The grade level photos get posted in the hallway outside the Assistant Principal's office for the whole year!
These students are encouraged to be good role models for the rest of the children in their class as well as their grade level. They should be proud of their good efforts and hard work!
You can see their photos at the top of the Round Hill School's main page or below...
