Student Council helps to make Round Hill a better place for all the students. They meet regularly with their adviser, Mrs. Nienstadt to plan events and come up with creative ideas. The Student Council will also meet with Mr. Kiel, the principal, to help plan for their new ideas.
After having preliminary elections, two students for each office were selected to run in the final elections. The offices include: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The eight candidates created posters, talked to students, and prepared speeches during their campaign. Each of the candidates gave excellent speeches on Thursday morning to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Round Hill. All of those students went back to their classrooms to cast their votes and the winning candidates were announced that afternoon.
Congratulations to all of the Student Council members who ran in the election! It was a lot of work and took a lot of courage to stand up in front of their peers. All eight of the students are on Mr. Kiel's Student Council Cabinet and will meet with him regularly and help to make decisions for our school.
