The easiest way to learn your solo & band music quickly is to purchase a yearlong subscription to Smart Music. This music training software will help you learn your solo & band parts by playing along with you! Go to www.smartmusic.com to purchase a subscription. In order to receive the 75% reduced student rate (student rate is only $30), be sure type in Washingtonville when you are asked for your school code. Although most of the solos (and a large selection of band literature) are on Smart Music, do a search on their website to see if your solo, etc is indeed on available on Smart Music (this can be done on their web site before purchasing).
In the never ending quest to inspire our students to reach their highest Musical goals, we the WCSD Music Department highly recommend that ALL of our students and parents invest in the SMART MUSIC technology. This program is an extraordinarily incredible learning tool to inspire all who utilize this terrific program!!
Parents/Students can purchase Smart Music online at the aforementioned page. There, it will be explained what Smart Music is. When ordering students will be asked for their school code in order to receive the 75% discounted price. Our school code is: "Washingtonville".
The Smart Music website is huge. It goes over everything you would want to know via text and videos (including explanations by Wynton Marsalis).
