Get ready to explore history!
Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies. Now that summer is over, it is time to rev up your brain cells and get ready to learn about the history of the United States. We will have an exciting time finding out what events led to the creation of our country. Why do we have a constitution? How did 13 Atlantic colonies expand to the Pacific Ocean? These and many other questions will be explored. I look forward to getting to know all of my new students. Go to Course Overview to see a detailed outline of the course.

Scenic Hudson River

The Hudson River has been extremely important in North American history. Many of the same transportation routes that the Native Americans used became important "highways" for the developing 13 colonies. Can you think of different ways that we use the Hudson River today?
