1)  Q How many computers does the District have?
A
The District owns and maintains approximately 1,400 computers. The operating system on these computers is Windows 7. The Art Department utilizes high-end "Mac" computers in our High School.
2)  Q What about Internet access?
A
Our schools are connected together via fiber and connected to the Internet, which provides high-speed Internet access to every instructional computer.
3)  Q Does the District have computer labs?
A
Yes. Every school including the elementary schools has at least two computer labs with the middle and high schools having wireless mobile labs in addition to wired labs. Every classroom has at least one networked computer with Internet access.
4)  Q Do all classrooms have a connection to the internet?
A
Yes. Every classroom is wired for network and Internet connectivity.
5)  Q What other technology tools are being used in the classroom?
A
The District utilizes an IP video conferencing system for virtual field trips and staff development. In addition, SmartBoards and wireless mobile labs using laptops are also employed.
