BOE Goals & Objectives - 2009-2010

Goal #1:

Support and Promote Student Success
The Washingtonville Central School District continues to support and promote student success and achievement as well as student innovation and creativity.  The District will continue to reach beyond the results of state-mandated assessments to allow our students to be educated to succeed in a changing world and to ensure our students will have the skills to be lifelong learners. The district is committed to providing the highest quality staff development for our professional staff and paraprofessionals to ensure that teaching and learning in Washingtonville reflect best practices in education.   

Goal #2:

Continue to Maintain Fiscal Management Priorities
The Washingtonville Central School District will continue to execute due diligence with regard to all matters of finance in order to maximize the value of our expenditures, to tightly control spending, and to increase revenue streams to the extent possible. The District will continue to focus on financial forecasting both in the short term, and for the long term future, to the extent possible in the currently unstable fiscal environment of the State and federal levels. 

Goal #3:

Support, Promote and Model the Tenets of Successful Customer Service
The Washingtonville Central School District recognizes that there are numerous customer sub-sets within any given school community, and that attention to customer service in the educational setting is a priority for all.   It is our goal to serve all of our customers, students, faculty, staff, parents, guardians, community members and visitors, in a respectful and responsive manner at all times. Our goal is continuous and courteous communication, both verbal or written, and timely responsiveness. The District strives to create and/or maintain an inviting environment that is welcoming, positive, and open to all partners both inside and outside our district.
