Applicants must be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent who is a member.  In addition, applicants must be actively participating as a volunteer firefighter or junior firefighter or participate in a volunteer EMS program.  Please see below for an application.

Applicant must be a TEG Federal Credit Union member, or have a parent/guardian who is a TEG member, in good standing.  Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to their community.  Please see below for an application.  

Michael L. Pappis Memorial Scholarship

Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be related to a firefighter, be a firefighter or be an Explorer in a fire department or fire district that is currently a paid up member of the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.  Please see below for an application.

The Excelsior Scholarship
Open to Grade 12
Deadline – July 1, 2018
Applicants must be residents of NYS and enroll in a SUNY or CUNY two- or four-year degree program. Applicants must take 30 credits per calendar year and plan to live and work in New York following graduation for the length of time they participate in the scholarship program. SUNY Orange - Exciting news……Entering Freshman SUNY Orange Scholarship Applications are available to students if they enroll at SUNY Orange. 

These scholarships are open to all students who have a cumulative GPA of 80 or better and plan on entering SUNY Orange for the fall 2017 semester. Please note the President’s Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 92.  Students who want to apply for any of these scholarships can do so by completing the online scholarship application.  Students only need to complete one application, even if they want to be considered for more than one scholarship. In order for a student to receive consideration, they must fully complete a scholarship application (using the on line application form) by the deadline date of April 15, 2017. A fully completed application must also include two letters of recommendation from a high school teacher(s) and/or guidance counselor.
