Extra Credit opportunities will be offered to students throughout the school year. These may include projects, movies and "day trips" to historical sites relevant to our current studies. All extra credit is equivalent to a 100 quiz grade. Extra Credit is entirely optional, can be completed at any time during the course and there is no limit to the number completed.
Movie in theaters now called Hidden Figures is based on a true story of 3 African American women who helped launch the first space missions. Save your movie ticket and attach it to a paragraph summary of the movie as well as a description of your favorite or most compelling scene.
Below is a list of historic "places" you may be interested in visiting with your child. In order to fulfill the extra credit requirement students must bring a brochure from the location as well as a 1-2 paragraph summary of "What they learned" while visiting.
